TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in the NYC DOE for 17 years! I started my career as a NYC Teaching Fellow and am so grateful for the opportunity to be an educator. I've attended innumerable PD sessions at NYBG, the Bronx Zoo, the AMNH, MoMA, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, etc. I'm always looking for exciting ways for my students to encounter mathematical and scientific phenomena.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I've developed numerous thematic curriculum units for middle school math and love developing and playing math games in the classroom. I enjoy designing spiraled assessments that generate lots of data while still allowing plenty of project based learning.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm a twin so I'm preoccupied with ideas of fairness and sharing. That's probably why I love playing math games in the classroom!
