My educational background includes a BA in Elementary Education, a Masters as a Reading Specialist, and I am currently finishing my 2nd Masters in Educational Technology. In addition, I have experience working as a children’s librarian and as a behavioral therapist for children with special needs.

I was also honored to receive the International Award for Teaching Excellence in Computer Science, which still amazes me given that I taught algorithms to 6-year-olds using a stuffed beanie baby bear named Toby. Throughout my career, I have been recognized as teacher of the year and received awards for teaching Math and Science.
