TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught math for the last 10 years. I started teaching middle school, but for the last 7 years I have taught high school. Currently I teach Geometry and A.P. Statistics. I love both subjects. I enjoy coming up with new lessons and enjoy sharing them.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like games and graphic organizers. I like to try new things. I teach at a school that specializes in the arts so sometimes math is not the student's favorite subject. I try to make math enjoyable for everyone.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I always loved math. I find it fun. I like learning just as much as I enjoy teaching. I like being in the classroom and feeling like the perpetual student. I have a B.S. in Secondary Math Education. I also have a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction that specialized in math.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In addition to teaching math, I also tutor. I have used the files I have shared to help those students that I tutor. It is by tutoring and/or teaching I find a need for an additional activity or game to assist my student in understanding the material. This is how I come up with my ideas. If I come up with something worth sharing I post it on my Teacher Pay Teachers store.
