I am in my 12th year of education. I started a substitute teacher in 2008. From there I was hired as a paraprofessional. While working as a paraprofessional- I decided to get my Bachelors degree and become a teacher. I took a few classes each semester while working full time and being wife/mom. It took me 6 years to finish a 4 year degree, but it was totally worth it! I now have my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I own and teach at a private school and am loving every minute of my Educational journey!
My teaching style is more hands on. I love breaking out the manipulatives and activities that make kids think outside of the box. I love the conceptual part of learning and watching students knowledge grow from conceptual to procedural. I am a huge fan of the Ron Clark Academy and strive to make my classroom engaging and fun all while adding rigor that takes my students to the next level!
