For the past two decades, I have embarked on a remarkable journey as an educator, dedicated to instilling knowledge, fostering growth, and igniting a passion for learning. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of guiding students through a diverse array of subjects, including ELL (English Language Learners), life science, earth science, physical science, environmental science, and biology. Over the years, I have honed my instructional techniques, leveraging a wide range of methodologies tailored to the unique needs of my students. From hands-on experiments and engaging demonstrations that bring scientific concepts to life, to incorporating technology and multimedia resources that enhance understanding and create a dynamic learning environment, I continuously seek to innovate and adapt my teaching practices.

As an enthusiastic educator, I am always on the lookout for innovative ways to enhance my teaching. I thoroughly enjoy implementing new technology tools and applications into my daily lessons, as I believe they can add an extra dimension of engagement and interactivity for my students. Alongside this, I am a big proponent of cooperative learning groups, as they encourage collaboration and teamwork among students, and hands-on activities, as they offer students a tactile way of exploring and understanding complex scientific concepts. I also like to incorporate various resources, such as power points, task cards, learning stations, and science laboratory practices, into my lessons to cater to different learning styles and preferences. Furthermore, I am an advocate of project-based learning (PBL), as it allows students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Lastly, I am a big fan of Google Class resources, as they provide a versatile and accessible way of organizing and sharing course materials with my students.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry with a focus on Education, which has given me a strong foundation in both subjects. I also completed a Master's degree in school counseling, which equips me with the skills to support students' social and emotional well-being. In addition to my degrees, I have earned a TESOL endorsement, which means I am qualified to teach English to non-native speakers. This will be valuable in classrooms with diverse language backgrounds. I am also a certified AVID program teacher facilitator, enabling me to implement strategies that foster critical thinking and prepare students for college and career success. I have taken on the role of Science Club Chair, where I lead and coordinate extracurricular science activities, allowing students to explore their interests beyond the regular curriculum. As a CADRE member, I have designed curriculum specifically focused on life science, showcasing my expertise in creating engaging lesson plans. To integrate technology into my teaching practices, I have obtained a Computer Technology Endorsement, which enables me to incorporate digital tools and resources to enhance student learning. Furthermore, I have received an endorsement in online-blending teaching, allowing me to effectively teach in blended learning environments, combining online instruction with face-to-face interactions. These qualifications make me a well-rounded educator, ready to meet the needs of diverse students. Being a mother fills my heart with boundless love and joy as I nurture and witness the growth of my children. As an educator, I have the privilege of shaping young minds, igniting their curiosity, and empowering them with knowledge to navigate the world. It is a role that constantly inspires me as I witness the transformative impact of education on their lives. And as a wife, I share a deep connection and unwavering support with my partner, creating a loving and harmonious home where we cherish each other's dreams and aspirations.
