TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a dual immersion teacher in California. I have taught second grade in the past and now currently teach first grade. I love to make my own resources for my class, and I want to share what I have created.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use centers a lot in my class and follow the Daily 5 model. It develops such strong readers and writers. I love writer's workshop, and was recently trained using Lucy Caulkins' techniques. I teach in a 90/10 model, so I create most resources in Spanish, but will sometimes translate them to use in English time, to share with my grade level counterparts, or to send home for English speaking parents.
