As of 2015, I am in my 11th year of teaching 9-12 French, Levels 1-AP. I have also taught Arts & Humanities Ancient - Renaissance and Arts & Humanities Renaissance - Modern. I have a minor in music performance.
I like guided notes to help students who struggle with note taking. Our school is one-to-one with devices, but I provide physically printed notes for students who prefer that or need those accommodations. I like to provide an overabundant amount of material and then allow students to work with that material in any way they would like, so long as they meet the skills for the unit objectives.
I have had a 100% pass rate on the AP French Language and Culture exam since 2012. I am a National Board Certified Teacher of French and was voted the teacher to have made the biggest difference in the 4-year lives of the seniors at my school last year. In 2007, I was named the Best new foreign language teacher in Kentucky, I've published in the ACTFL journal, and I've presented numerous local and regional conferences for world language.
Undergraduate: University of Kentucky 2002-2005 with a Major in French Language and Literature and a Minor in Music Performance. Graduate: Georgetown College 2005-2007 with a Masters in Alternate Certification Education National Board Certified Teacher of French since 2009
