I have taught Kindergarten for twelve wonderful years! I have taught two years at a school for the deaf and hard of hearing and one year at a school for children with Autism. Teaching at both schools was very rewarding. Teaching on the college level, I have been adjunct faculty for the physics department. Currently, I participate in voluntary education/tutoring work with members of the deaf community along with teaching in my own Kindergarten classroom.
In my teaching I like to challenge the students to become self-motivated learners, while allowing them the opportunity to work cooperatively in a hands-on environment as much as possible.
