TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an 8th grade United States History teacher that has been in education for over a decade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love the idea of bringing history to life for my students and having them step into the shoes of the people we learn about. I believe it increases engagement and helps students develop empathy. This is why my store revolves around role play activities.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was named the Governer's Educator of the Year in 2023 for my school district. I was also my college's nominee for the 2016 New Jersey Distinguished Clinical Intern Award for my work as a student teacher. I also received two Western Governor's University Excellence Awards for my work during my most recent Master's Program.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I studied Political Science as an undergraduate before returning to school to earn my teaching degree. I have since gone one to complete three Master's degrees in Education: an MEd in Learning & Technology, an MS in Curriculum & Instruction, and an MS in Learning Experience Design & Educational Technology.
