I started my teaching career in 2005 in Early Childhood Special Education. I worked as a special education teacher for 7 years, focusing on developmental delays and Autism, which is a passion of mine! During that time time, I became a new mom and was looking for a job-share opportunity, which would allow me to spend part-time in the classroom, and part-time at home with my babies! This lead me to teaching kindergarten! I have been in the in the classroom full-time as a kindergarten teacher since 2015, and absolutely love it!
I like to find a balance between fun and learning through a variety of hands-on opportunities, cooperative learning, music & movement, and developmentally-appropriate play experiences.
Teacher of the Year 2018
I have my Bachelor's degree in Education with dual certifications in Elementary Education and Special Education.
