I have 15 years of experience in education. 5 years in the alternative high school setting, 9 years in general education, and 4 years as a Professional Learning Specialist. I have taught ELA classes from grades 9-12, honors and remedial.

I believe in a practical, no-nonsense approach to curriculum, and an adaptive, engaging classroom environment. I believe the best classroom engagement IS learning, not gimmicky games. Learning, practicing, revising, discussing, and interacting are the heart of the classroom.
