TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I believe I was born to teach. I am currently in my seventeenth year of teaching and still love going to work each day. I taught third grade for nine years before I moved to the fabulous fourth grade. I work with a great team that plans together and shares which really saves time. I am currently a lead teacher at my school and I have also been a mentor teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is for my students to have fun while learning each day. In my class, we learn through hands-on discovery, exploration, learning from our mistakes, and playing a lot of games. I want them to feel safe and know that I am there for them.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Teacher of the Year 2015, Receiver of many handmade notes from students which are worth gold, Hugs each day...as one students says...just because:)

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

This is my third and final career. My first job was in the business world in accounting. Then wanting to be a stay at home mom I ran my own in-home daycare before pursing my passion for teaching others. I am so excited to begin this step on Teachers Pay Teachers. I love to create materials for my students to enjoy while learning and now I am excited to be able to share with others.
