TEACHING EXPERIENCE

2018-Present (2022) SOS (Students Out Of School) - Program Coordinator 2020-Present, Program Assistant 2018-2020 ~~~ 2012-2013 KIFF (Keeping Indoor Fitness Fun) After-School Program Supervisor at Strauss-Peabody Aquatic and Fitness Center ~~~ Summer 2010 Camp Counselor at YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake in California

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach life skills at an alternative school program. I teach my students things they would not normally learn in a traditional school environment (cooking, cleaning, etc) but I also teach coping skills, mental health management, drug and alcohol education, practical life skills, and I try to teach my students about things that interest them, rather than going from a set curriculum from the DOE (I do however try to add DOE things into my lessons so that they are still achieving some state standards).
