By Lepre's Learning Log For the past 15 years, I've enthusiastically taught 7th and 8th grades students in beautiful southern California. Throughout my career I've taught band, choir, and all levels of English Language Arts.
Every day I come to school with the mindset that I will trick my students into learning. They walk in my door enthusiastic for my activities because I strive to keep them engaged, thinking critically, and collaborating for the entire 110-minute block. Middle school students are still learning how to learn and study, and must be taught the skills to prepare them for the rigors of high school. With a combination of rigor and relevance, my activities do just that!
