TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I spent 4 years as an educational aide in math and science classrooms, creating various mini-lessons and activities, notes sheets and graphic organizers for inclusion as well as other general education students. I have taught both 7th grade math, 8th grade math, and 6th-8th grade science in my own classrooms.

MY TEACHING STYLE

While teaching science and math concepts, I try to integrate basic skill building with exploration of math and science through real-world connections as often as possible. Rather than paper worksheets and reviews, I prefer to have kids moving and interacting as much as possible. I enjoy the use of technology when available but I know its not always easy, so many of my resources also have paper options for when tech isn't available.
