I was trained in, and have had experience, teaching the British National Curriculum for over 3 years. Throughout my time teaching so far, I have also taught through several curriculums including PYP IB (Primary Years Programme- Interbaccalaureate), IPC (International Primary Curriculum) and the American standard curriculum. I have mainly worked in private schools which allows me to be flexible and creative with my teaching. I incorporate the best elements from each curriculum and experience and incorporate them into my everyday teaching.
A global perspective and experience of inquiry-based curricula is transferred into my classroom where students are encouraged to go beyond contextual learning. Our third graders participate in group and individual projects to solve real-life problems with an emphasis on 21st century essential learning skills such as collaboration, research, time-management and presenting, all while being challenged and having fun.

I obtained my Bachelor of Education (honors) degree from the University of Plymouth (UK) in 2011. During my time at university, I undertook a range of school placements, including an overseas placement at a school in New York. My international teaching career began when I moved from England to Doha, Qatar, in 2012, where I taught 2nd grade in a British international school. Since then I have taught in several private international schools around the world in South Korea, Houston and now here in Savannah.
