Laurel Susan Studio LLC

I was certified in Middle Grades and Art Education. I was a teacher, then left to raise my children. I worked as a tutor for several years after leaving the classroom. When my oldest daughter reached kindergarten age, I began homeschooling. It has been a wonderful adventure. As a trained teacher, it came naturally to me. My oldest daughter now holds a PhD in computer science and my twin daughters are in graduate school.

Our family loves books, and I am thankful that all of my children are great readers. Although I purchased some homeschool curriculum materials, I wrote most of our curriculum and much of our learning was based on our reading. Writing played an essential role in my homeschool as well, and I always incorporated projects and activities to enhance all of the concepts we study. As a TPT seller and because of my art training, I love to incorporate drawing and color into as many activities as I can.
