This mixed fractions and decimals matching activity provides students with practice matching shaded squares representing tenths and hundredths with words, fractions, and decimals of the same value.

This activity consists of twenty-four problems with answer sheets divided into four categories: shaded squares, words, fractions, and decimals. One answer is filled in for each problem. Students are to complete the remaining spaces to create an equal row of different representations for the same decimal/fraction with a shaded square picture, words, a fraction, and a decimal. Students will find the answers on the Cut-outs sheets which consist of dotted line squares with the correct answers to complete the rows on the answer sheet. Students should use scissors to cut out the answer squares on the Cut-outs sheets and use glue to glue the squares to the answer sheets.

You will also receive answer keys with the correct answers in red so students may check themselves.

Also included are eight pages of activity strips (three strips per page for a total of twenty-four strips). Each strip has a matching word, fraction, and decimal number. They can be cut apart into puzzle pieces or used as full strips. These can be used as bulletin board borders or used as a puzzle or matching activity for students. You will find many creative ways to use these.
