I’m Paul Morris, a speech-language pathologist with a long developing interest in teaching language. I have published a book of language activities (101 Language Activities) and have been creating materials for almost two decades. I also have SLP apps available on the Google Playstore and Amazon - Categories Galore Swipe Cards and Speech & Language Lists Galore.
I love teaching language! I strongly believe in variety and having an arsenal of materials from which to use to keep things interesting for both students and teachers. I generally endorse a cycles-like approach to teaching language. Make it individualized, with the 4 E's: encourage, entice, expect, and excite.
I've published a book through Linguisystems/Pro-Ed, titled, 101 Language Activities. I've had two blogs for more than five years with nearly 4 million combined hits (www.freelanguagestuff.com and The Language Fix). My blogs have been mentioned in the ASHA Leader, and in numerous other sites and publications.
I have seventeen years of on the job training. Before that, a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Central Missouri, and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from William Jewell College.
