My experiences range from a classroom English teacher to a consultant for more than 200 educational agencies and schools. For over 50 years I have spent my time developing materials to enhance the writing experience for students. These experiences with students and teachers have encouraged me to create the Language Arts Institute. I have enjoyed being a workshop leader, guest speaker, Research Director & Curriculum Associate for the Grosse Pointe Public Schools, and Adjunct Faculty at Wayne State and Oakland Universities. Author for more than a dozen publications and journals which include: MASCD Journal, College Prep, Language Arts, Michigan English Teacher, Elementary English, and Social Studies in Michigan MDE.
