I am entering my third year of teaching a Spanish immersion Pre-K math classroom. I love having the opportunity to teach math in a second language to my 4 and 5 year old students!
I value presence with students and getting on their level to truly allow them to grasp and understand content. I try to base instruction around student interests as much as possible. I also love to implement movement and hands on activities into my instruction as much as possible!
I am currently a par of a Pre-K steering committee for my district where I am able to help create standards and expectations to be implemented in Pre-K programs in my district.
I was a Spanish Immersion student at the elementary school where I now teach Math Spanish Immersion. I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from The College in Charleston in 2015. I graduated with a Master's of Arts Degree in Literacy from Furman University in 2018.
