By La Cazuela I began teaching full-time in the Fall of 2018. I work in an inner-city middle school, teaching English as a Second Language to 6th-8th graders. I have also spent two years working with adults teaching them English with a conversational focus.
First and foremost, I love my students and want each of them to know they are loved. I focus a lot on relationships and believe they are the foundation of any classroom. I try to create my lessons based on my students' experiences, as well as trying to expose them to the world and give them many new experiences (I LOVE field trips!).
I was teacher of the month at my school for January of 2019.
I was raised public school through-and-through. I went to schools that were not very diverse.
