For six years, I primarily taught 10-12 grade biology, chemistry, and environmental science. Additionally, I coached two sports, advised numerous student clubs, and was the Director of Youth Ministries at my church. My six years of teaching/coaching/advising, Biology degree, Minnesota Teaching License, and Masters in Education provided me a comprehensive understanding of the life sciences and exposure to best practices for adolescent and adult learners. After my experiences teaching in public schools, I started working for Mayo Clinic and was quickly promoted to the role of Education Specialist in the field of Regenerative Medicine (specializing in clinical trials, cGMP manufacturing, and cell therapy for acute injury, wound healing disorders, autoimmune diseases, cancers, etc.). For the past ~7 years, I have continued to grow in content knowledge and teaching methodologies by attending - and presenting at - numerous local and regional conferences.
