I will be entering into my fifth year of teaching! I have spent time teaching Kindergarten, Third Grade and now I am in First! I have to say that First grade is the best!
Each year of my teaching career I have found a way to become more and more inspired by Ron Clark. Whether it is by attending local seminars or by traveling to Atlanta Georgia to spend time in his school my goal is for my teaching style to mimic his! I believe that rigor, passion, energy, engagement and a positive attitude will make all the difference in our classroom and in the lives of our little ones. I try to channel these qualities each day into the lessons that I plan.
Rookie Teacher of the Year for Forsyth County, Teaching Fellows Program
I was in the Teaching Fellows Program at University of North Carolina Greensboro for four years. I graduated with a K-6 licensure to teach Elementary Ed. I just graduated with my Masters in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University!
I love holidays and creating meaningful activities for students to do using festive symbols!
