TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an Education Specialist in Northern California. I have taught for five years working with Resource students and now collaboratively teach in four classrooms in addition to teaching designated specialized academic instruction. I primarily work with eighth graders transitioning into high school. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as an Instructional Associate at the high school level assisting Resource students in the general education setting.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Having taught students with emotional, physical, and academic needs in and outside the classroom, I believe that not only can every student learn, but that teaching the entire student is integral to their development. Through my co-teaching experiences, I encourage building high expectations with students which pushes them to achieve more than they ever imagined in the face of a challenge.
