Hello! I am a licensed elementary education teacher who has been working in the public school system for sixteen years. I started my career as a special education paraprofessional and the extreme privilege of working with a very talented Orton Giillingham certified, special education teacher who later became my mentor. Her influence is strongly represented in my work. I have been passionately teaching grades one and two for the last twelve years. I have experience with ELLs, behavioral management (moderate and severe), learning disabilities, the gifted and talented, autism spectrum, visually impaired and students who struggle with anxiety/depression. I am constantly seeking to learn new things and truly believe as soon as you think you know everything, you will stop learning. I am also a proud mama to three active and busy boys.

I am a certified elementary education teacher with a bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology and a master's degree in elementary education.
I have a genuine love of teaching and learning! I seek to continually inspire both my students and children on a daily basis. I love providing both with unique learning experiences. At home, we love being outdoors and spending time together. We regularly frequent the beach, our local farm and baseball/soccer fields. We have several animals including two dogs, six chickens, three guinea pigs, two parakeets and fish. In my spare time, I love photography, running, hiking and camping with my family. We all love to cook and garden as well.
