I have been teaching French Immersion for 17 years and love it. have taught many different subject areas over the years. Teaching in the immersion program has challenged me to come up with open-ended projects that allow students to investigate things that interest them and encourage their creativity.
I like to teach project base lessons once I have given the students the tools they need to be successful. I find the new curriculum often forgets that the students need the necessary tools before starting a task. Without these tools the students can become frustrated which often leads to lack of motivation.
