I am currently going on year 3 of teaching at a private school for students with autism. I love thinking outside of the box and coming up with new ways to motivate them and teach them independence.
Hands on. Focused on teaching skills to improve independence.

My passion is to teach students who feel misunderstood. When I was a teenager my father was diagnosed with brain cancer and lost most of his abilities to speak and walk. I was hurt and confused by the fact that people saw him differently after he got sick. I promised myself I would never look at disabilities the same. Until you put in the effort to learn about someone you don't know them or their story... I have made it my mission to learn my student's story and love them unconditionally.
