TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I teach early childhood music and private piano and ukulele lessons. I've worked in a music studio for about 5 years now, and am going on my second year with my own space and students. I strive to make music fun. I teach in group settings, camps and private one on one lessons. I also student taught in a dance studio for two years, and volunteer at a local homeschool group.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach through play based learning, games and fun activities. My lessons and classes often include games, activities and even art projects. We study music theory, music history, learn about composers and practice music listening skills and even learning instruments all through a play based approach. I use some Montessori materials, although I do not classify myself as a strictly Montessori teacher. The number one rule at our studio regardless of age, instrument or ability is to HAVE FUN.
