I attended Indiana State University and majored in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Reading. While attending ISU, I tutored struggling readers and worked as a sales associate at Books-A-Million. I currently teach Special Education for Indiana Connections Academy. I work with students in grades K-5 with varying ability levels.
I am a very laid back teacher. I want my students to know that learning can be fun. Most of my student's have struggled through school and have started to become discouraged. I try to bring the fun and excitement back to learning for them. With every unit we do, I try to incorporate an activity or project. I want my students to be engaged in their own learning.
