ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Keila V. Dawson writes nonfiction and fiction picture books. She is a New Orleans native and former educator with domestic and international experience. Born an adventurer, she’s hiked the rice terraces in the Philippines, climbed Mt. Fuji in Japan, and Mt. Sinai in Egypt. When she isn't traveling, researching, or digging in genealogical archives, she's reading, writing, and visiting with schools. She writes and blogs about picture books so kids can read about their experiences, see their reflections, and learn about others’ too.
