Since 1993 I have embarked on an incredible journey of being a special education teacher. That is 20 years that have changed my life forever in hopes to make a difference in the lives that I touch everyday.
Due to the nature and grand variance among my students, I utilize many different teaching strategies and styles to best suit their needs. Some of these are hand-on , multi-sensory, use of color, pictures, videos, and interactive learning activities.
I am honored that present and prior students have shared that I am their favorite teacher. I am also honored that some staff and administrators have referred to me as an expert and have consulted with me on several occasions regarding specific student needs.
I have my bachelors and masters degrees in special education and elementary education.
I am blessed to have a very happy family to come home to with a loving husband and three amazing children including twin boys. I love dogs and have three of my own. I have one kitten that we saved from being a stray on our road. We keep busy by being a part of the boy scouts, playing soccer year round, playing baseball,my daughter dances, camping, swimming in our pool, hiking, fishing, and riding our four wheelers.
