I've spent almost a half century teaching. The first three years were in an elementary classroom. The remainder has been in special education and with At-Risk youth serving as mentor, teacher, and administrator at the same time in more than one program at a time. I also taught adult education classes for a decade on the side and as a guest speaker for numerous college classes along with conference/seminar presentations for a number of educational associations.
Throughout my teaching, I have used many teaching techniques based on student needs. I've spent EVERY summer attending college courses, conferences, and seminars to expand my repertoire of successful techniques. Each student has always been the focus in my classroom.
Honors Fraternities at Bachelor, Masters, and Specialist levels, honored for educational success at several state-wide conferences in Missouri and Arkansas, Outstanding Educators of America, AND, most important, seeing my STUDENTS succeed.
