Childhood best friends, Deanna and Misti have always had a passion for finding ways to make learning fun for everyone. Deanna has dedicated her entire career to working with children. She has worked with a range of students from PreK to middle school, in the US and overseas. She started her career as PreK teacher in a private school where she helped create the curriculum used in class. She then transitioned to an online ESL teacher for students of all ages overseas and is also a full-time homeschool mom to her 2 boys. Misti is a homeschool graduate and creative entrepreneur who began her career in children's ministry by creating curriculum for preschool biblical education that is still used in several churches across the US. She then transitioned into the business world, creating a successful graphic design business specializing in branding and marketing for her clients. She has owned several other businesses along the way including a coffee shop and a multi-unit retail technology store. She eventually returned to ministry, working as a childhood coordinator and campus admin for Life.Church.

Here at Just Add Markers, we are on a mission to make the learning experience fun for everyone involved. We who heartedly believe that if both the teacher and student are enjoying the learning process and having fun, they can accomplish anything!

Misti loves using her talents to foster a creative spirit in children. She recently created an entire parent lead Art curriculum for use in a local public school.

Deanna holds a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies/Child Development from Oklahoma Christian University with a minor in Biblical Studies.

Deanna enjoys a good cup of coffee, reading, writing, playing board games with her family, snuggling up with her puppy while watching Netflix, baking pies, and working in her vegetable garden. When not working Misti can be found spending time with her two kids, creating art, and enjoying a good cup of tea.
