TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught sixth grade earth science for four years before moving to teach high school earth science and biology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In my classroom, I like to create a fun and authentic science experience. Very rarely will you find my class sitting down staring at the board! I thrive on a loud and engaged classroom built on organized chaos! I enjoying adding in STEM challenges and design thinking centered projects to each unit, pushing students out of their comfort zone and creating opportunities for those "aha!" moments.

I received my degree in Science Education from the University of Georgia. My degree focused on Earth Sciences, but I completed additional certification for General Sciences grades 4-12.
