About Our Company

Hi, I'm Marjorie Sarnat. I’ve taught art to kids in public and private schools, am past editor of “Arts & Activities Magazine,” and also design kids’ crafts such as Project Runway® fashion dolls for major manufacturers. You've seen my products throughout Michaels and Joanne's stores. In 2010 my partner, Marty Safir and I co-founded Jr Imagination, a company whose mission is to facilitate creativity in kids. I believe creative thinking skills are as essential to a student’s future as any other educational goal. When I was a student myself I was surrounded by academic stars. I didn't know that I could be a star myself. I was creatively gifted, but that gift was unrecognized. Now I wish to offer all kids the opportunity to develop creative thinking skills and to shine a bright light on the creatively talented kids whose gifts might otherwise go unnoticed. As a teacher and a mom I know that creativity comes naturally to all kids; I want to keep those flames alive.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi, I'm Marjorie Sarnat. I’ve taught art to kids in public and private schools, am past editor of “Arts & Activities Magazine,” and also design kids’ crafts such as Project Runway® fashion dolls for major manufacturers. You've seen my products throughout Michaels and Joanne's stores. In 2010 my partner, Marty Safir and I co-founded Jr Imagination, a company whose mission is to facilitate creativity in kids. Now I wish to offer all kids the opportunity to develop creative thinking skills and to shine a bright light on the creatively talented kids whose gifts might otherwise go unnoticed. As a teacher and a mom I know that creativity comes naturally to all kids; I want to keep those flames alive.

MY TEACHING STYLE

We offer products that encourage kids to believe in the power of their imaginations. These include lesson plans, books, apps, games, and fun activities that enable children to develop their creative thinking skills. Our goal at Jr Imagination is to grow the creative potential of every child, lead young dreamers to success, and raise the next generation of achievers. Through teaching Marjorie observed that there’s inherent creativity in all children (artistic or not), and it became her passion to help teachers and parents develop it. At Jr Imagination we understand that creatively gifted students aren't necessarily identified as the most intellectually gifted. Creative talent abounds among advanced, average, and learning-challenged kids. And while all children are naturally creative, we, as educators and parents, must nurture that creativity.
