Johnston's Joyful Noise

I have taught 6 years in my current district. Prior to my amazing full time employment, I also had the pleasure of teaching bi-weekly kindergarten music classes at a development center. I love to incorporate technology in my classroom. My goal is to encourage teachers young and old to not fear a screen, app, program or document. I have taught classes and sessions on technology and look forward to continuously evolving in my skill set. I have been singing since I could talk. My family of six was never short a harmony part or five for that matter. Though I love being a singer/songwriter in my classroom, my primary instrument is trumpet. My greatest passions are to enrich community through the joy that is music. HE gave me a gift and I intend to share it until my last breath.

Met my future husband in 6th grade honor band. God knew he was the only one for me, we've grown up together as the best of friends. We date, ventured through college together, got married, and have a beautiful family. I am so blessed to have his support!
