TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a National Board Certified teacher in Cary, NC. I teach 7th grade social studies, but have my National Board certification in language arts, and am certified to teach language arts and social studies in grades 6-9. I have been teaching in North Carolina for nine years and loving it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is one that incorporates technology and discussion whenever possible. A typical day in my class consists of direct instruction using the smartboard, followed by small group discussion or individual work doing things like analyzing primary sources, discussing different viewpoints on the same topic, or applying vocabulary and/or specific skills to our content.
