I have many years of experience in secondary, higher education and Adult Education. My certification is Grades 7-12, Social Sciences. Along with teaching all areas of high school social studies curriculum, I have also taught AP US History for 25+ years. I am currently an adjunct professor at a local community college for American National Government, encompassing on-line and a blended learning format. The rigor of academics and the time involved in athletics have taught me, as well as the student/athlete, time management, pride, and commitment.
I use a blended style of learning for in-class instruction with on-line activities. I use many hands on, engaging activities with students to peak interest and comprehension. I also allow for differentiation, depending on the activity. Much of the interaction takes place with group activities and a share and compare atmosphere. The on-line learning encompasses a wide array of critical thinking activities.
Selected many different years by individual students as an Honored Educator. Teacher of the Year in two of the school districts in which i taught.
