For 13 fulfilling years, I had the privilege of teaching early elementary grades. Since then, as a proud grandmother to four amazing grandchildren, my dedication to education hasn't waned. I've carried on crafting imaginative and enjoyable ways to teach, making learning an adventure for my grandchildren, just as I did for my own children years ago.
My teaching philosophy has always centered around the belief that engaged, happy children learn best. In my early years of teaching, I tirelessly sought ways to infuse fun into learning, creating an environment where curiosity thrived. Now, as a delighted grandmother, I'm still on the hunt for and creating new, exciting learning games. I firmly believe that when education feels like play, it becomes an unforgettable adventure for kids.
Throughout my teaching career, I held a steadfast belief: the most meaningful honors didn't arrive as trophies or public acknowledgments. Rather, it was witnessing the sparkle in children's eyes and their newfound excitement for learning that truly mattered. Nothing compares to the sheer joy reflected in the eyes of the children I've taught and my cherished grandchildren—it's the greatest recognition and reward I could ever receive.
Following my graduation from BYU with a degree in elementary education, I embraced thirteen fulfilling years teaching 1st to 3rd grades. After a 20-year hiatus from classroom teaching, I ventured into a unique realm, instructing online classes through VIPKID to students in China. This experience proved fascinating, aiding students in mastering English communication. Remarkably, even after this extended gap, I've maintained contact with several of the students I had the privilege of teaching.
In my seven years as a grandmother, my passion for designing engaging printable learning games and activities has blossomed. Most of my creations revolve around seasonal themes, Spanish learning, or teachings associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Whether it's crafting fun resources for different seasons, aiding in Spanish education, or creating materials rooted in faith teachings, the greatest joy for me remains unchanged: hearing how much enjoyment others find in using the games and activities I design. That heartfelt feedback inspires and drives my ongoing commitment to making learning both delightful and purposeful.
