This lab was project I took under my wing when I was student teaching. I decided that learning projectile motion with some of the ordinary boring labs was boring. I like to bring trending ideas into my classroom and make them useful in learning

I created this lab as an intro into two dimensional motion for my physics classes. The lab uses all the techniques of adding vectors head-to-tail and demonstrates for them that the two vectors being added to make a resultant are the components of

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the world of teaching, but I'm loving every second of it. I teach these students day-in and day-out and watch them grow from the first day they walk into my classroom. The looks on their faces as they grasp an idea, as it makes sense, as they can relate to the content is what makes it all worth the while. I teach a subject which is the application of other subjects and this allows me to tie my content to things they've done, things they do, or things they will do in their lifetime. This makes it easy to motivate them and spark their interest. My goal is to help guide them to make decisions about where and what they want to be in life, and that moment when they tell me that I've gained their interest in the subject I teach, that's a fulfilling, self-actualization moment for me. I love what I do and I try to share that love with my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm only 24 years old, which makes me almost part of the same generation I'm teaching. I'm able to relate to these students and make the content relevant. My teaching style is very student driven, technologically enriched, and hands-on. I have grown up with the technology and I've stuck with it over the years. I love to incorporate things in my classroom which students never would have imagined educational. I'm always looking forward to engaging the students with practical examples, labs, and demonstrations. I try to adapt to as many learning styles as possible without losing the purposefulness of the content itself. Technology is my baby, and as it grows, I grow with it. I want to remain up-to-date with society and open the horizons of students through the use of everyday technology so they are better prepared to use it in real life to its full extent.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I'm a recent graduate from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. I started my college career at Penn State Behrend in 2007 and transferred closer to my hometown the following year where I finished my bachelors degree in secondary education. I'm only 24 years old and I just started teaching this past August. Thus far, I love my job. I love the excitement I can see in my students eyes as we do some of the labs and demonstrations. I look forward to enriching my students with the knowledge how everything around us works.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
