MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

In 2013, I graduated from Heritage University in Washington state with my BA in Elementary Education, ELL certified. Heritage offers a unique BA and MIT program called HU105. Teamed up with our local ESD 105, the program focus around learning to be a teacher by being in an actual classroom, teaching along side two other teacher candidates and a core (certified) teacher. So, instead of attending lectures followed by a few weeks in the classroom, we spend four days a week in a classroom as a teacher and one day at the university receiving instruction that we can implement right away in our teaching.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am originally from Washington state. After I graduated in 2013, I moved to Panama to teach 4th grade at a Christian school. I met my husband when I moved - a local Panameño and we got married in June 2014. We have two daughters.
