My teaching background is in Montessori adolescent education and project-based learning. I am a program director for an adolescent Montessori school as well as a lead teacher in our multi-aged classroom.
I am a proponent of hands-on, project-based, inquiry-based education. When developing curriculum, I always begin by thinking about the developmental needs of adolescents, so my resources include opportunities for working in groups, getting outside of the classroom as much as possible, and providing opportunities for adolescents to connect curriculum to their own life experiences.
