I have been teaching third grade since 2010.
My classroom is very hands-on with lots of small group instruction and independent learning centers. I use my own adaptation of the Jan Richardson guided reading in addition to the Daily Five method for reading. In math, I conduct a daily math meeting, a daily lesson, and independent learning activities and small group instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
Yet to be added
I graduated from Marietta College in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I furthered my degree by completing my master's degree in special education in May 2015.
I live a very active and healthy lifestyle (minus potato chips..and all of those birthday cupcakes..oh the joys of being an elementary teacher!) I enjoy running, playing soccer, and pretty much anything that keeps me moving! I also love to travel to practically anywhere. My goal in the next few years is to teach abroad with my husband (a teacher too!).
