Throughout my educational and professional journey, I've been fortunate to engage in a diverse range of roles, each contributing to my multifaceted skill set and unwavering commitment to community and individual well-being. My career kicked off in the non-profit sector, where I gained invaluable experience in supporting community-driven initiatives and addressing pressing social issues. As a community center manager, I took on the responsibility of overseeing programs and activities that promoted a sense of belonging and enrichment within the community. Transitioning to the role of a day care director, I dedicated myself to the well-being and development of young children, ensuring a nurturing and educational environment. My educational journey took a specialized turn as I became a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing crucial support to individuals with behavioral challenges and helping them achieve positive outcomes. Serving as a family liaison, I facilitated communication and support between families and organizations, ensuring that their unique needs were met effectively. Additionally, I worked as a one-on-one personal care attendant, providing dedicated care and assistance to individuals with specific needs, ultimately enhancing their quality of life. These diverse experiences have not only equipped me with a wide range of skills but have also reinforced my unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on both community and individual levels.

My teaching style is a harmonious blend of several key principles, aimed at fostering holistic growth and a love for learning among my students. I believe in the power of explorative learning, encouraging students to actively engage with their subjects, ask questions, and discover answers. Play-based learning is also integral to my approach, as it allows children to learn through hands-on experiences, promoting creativity and critical thinking. Moreover, I firmly believe in tailoring my teaching to each student's unique needs and strengths. Individualized approaches are at the core of my methodology, ensuring that every student receives the support and challenges they require to thrive academically and personally. In addition, I understand the importance of creating a supportive environment not just for my students but also for their families. I believe in fostering open lines of communication and collaboration, ensuring that families are active partners in their children's education journey. My educational journey began with a strong foundation in high school, where I earned my advanced diploma. This phase of my life was marked by rigorous academic challenges and personal growth. It was here that I honed my critical thinking skills, developed a thirst for knowledge, and nurtured my love for learning. Following high school, I embarked on a new adventure by enrolling in cosmetology school. This decision was driven by a deep fascination with the art of beautification and a desire to help others look and feel their best. After rigorous training and practice, I earned my cosmetology license, becoming a skilled practitioner in the world of beauty and self-care.My journey took an exciting turn as I delved into the realm of early childhood development. Pursuing an associate's degree in this field allowed me to explore the intricate aspects of child growth, learning, and nurturing. It equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to positively impact the lives of young children and their families.In a defining chapter of my educational odyssey, I pursued a Bachelor of Individualized Studies in Creative Art Education. This unique program allowed me to blend my love for art, early childhood development, and early childhood special education into a harmonious whole. It was a journey of self-discovery and innovation, where I learned how to harness the power of creativity to enrich the lives of children with special needs.

I am well-versed in the Virginia subsidy program, allowing me to support families in accessing essential financial assistance for early childhood education. My familiarity with Virginia CLASS/VCQB5 observations and early learning standards empowers me to assess and enhance the quality of early childhood education programs, ensuring that children receive the best possible foundation for their future. Furthermore, my expertise extends to the realm of recreation therapy, where I have gained valuable insights into using recreational activities to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. This diverse knowledge base enables me to offer a well-rounded and comprehensive approach to education and care, ensuring the holistic development of the children under my guidance.
