TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching general and vocal music programs in international school settings. My focus has been promoting general music programs to which every student can relate regardless of their musical backgrounds, interests, and aptitudes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

The ultimate goal in my classroom has been creating experiences where all students can find connections to their worlds. Instead of relying on traditional ways of learning music that may heavily concentrate on music theory and Western music history, I follow and reflect on today's musical scenes and cultures to create relevance in investigating, developing, creating, and evaluating music.
