TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an SLP in the Rome City School District for the past 23 years. I work primarily with kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students. Areas of expertise include phonemic awareness, vocabulary development, and grammar.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I feel that children learn best when the instruction is multi-sensory in nature. Therefore, I do a lot of hands-on activities that allow multiple opportunities for learning. In addition, I enjoy collaborating and working with classroom teachers. I feel that there is so much knowledge to be shared among teachers and collaborating is an ideal way to share that knowledge.
