My career encompasses 30+ years of teaching and training. I've spent several years in corporate training, and I've taught at the junior college level. I primarily cater to secondary students, though you will see some of my materials are suitable for elementaries as well.
My teaching style may vary per the dynamics of the classroom. However, two factors remain. First, I adopt the Classical Socratic method by leaving no [relevant] question unanswered. Secondly, I incorporate the humanities into my curriculum, much as Aquinas pushed with his students. Learning should never be boring yet should always be challenging.
I've been able to incorporate several creative endeavors into my education efforts. I have won awards for editorial cartooning and short film productions. I produced an edutainment podcast for five years.
I have a B.A. in English from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master's in Education (Teaching and Learning - History) from Liberty University.
Married 25 years. Two children. I try to stay fit with yoga, calisthenics and golf. My older son is a freshman at University of Houston's Hilton School. My younger son takes me storm chasing. Check out their adventures on Twitter.
