TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My name is Maggie Hall. I live in the Katy/Richmond suburb area with my husband of ten years. We have two boys (one 7 and one 2 years), plus two small dogs. I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. I went through an Alternative Certification program to become a Texas licensed educator in 2014. I have also completed my Masters degree in Education (Secondary Literacy) this year. I currently teach Reading at a middle school campus in the Lamar Consolidated school district. This is my third year teaching 6th grade Reading. More than anything else, I love spending time with my family!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Versatile, high-energy and animated, use a lot of tech in the classroom, I enjoy learning and concept centers/stations, literature circles/book clubs, engaging and interactive learning while reading and writing. I also enjoy teaching Notice and Note reading comprehension strategies. I put the love of reading and reading for learning at the forefront and the concern about the next high-stakes test as an afterthought. :)
