When it comes to teaching, the one thing that I enjoy just as much -- is writing curriculum! I have spent most of my years teaching Kindergarten and Pre-K in both Texas and Alabama. Half of my 17 years teaching has been working with special needs students. I've also taught 2nd and 3rd grade as well! I currently teach K-5 Intervention/Special Education in Reading, Language Arts and Math, where my students are on a K-2 Reading/Math level. As I teach, I am creating new curriculum. I have created a new Phonics Curriculum, featured at my sister store, "Elementary Elephant,"along with my other 3rd, 4th & 5th grade Math, Reading, Writing and Spelling curriculum. You will now see modified curriculum in my store, as a result! Enjoy!

I love having the freedom to teach with small group instruction and in small reading groups, small math groups and also through hands on Work Stations. I also love allowing the children to learn by using the technology in the classroom, such as the iPad, Smartboard and PowerPoint.

Although high school was tough, somehow through my love of writing and group collaboration, I was able to excel in my Masters degree studies and graduate with a 4.0 GPA!
